Why would you benefit from a Hepatitis B Immunity Test?
The presence of anti-HBs indicates recovery and immunity from hepatitis B virus
infection. Anti-HBs develop if you’ve been vaccinated against or have recovered from
hepatitis B.

Testing for evidence of immunity after vaccination is not routinely recommended, except those in certain groups. In those at risk of occupational exposure, particularly healthcare and laboratory workers, antibody levels should be checked one to two months after the completion of the full vaccination course.
We are able to offer our immunity tests to patients aged 16 years and over. All other blood tests offered are for patients aged 18 years and over.
If you require the Hepatitis B Immunity Blood Test, Varicalle Zoster IgG Blood Test (Chickenpox) and Measles, Mumps and Rubella Immunity Blood Test (MMR) we suggest that you have the Combined Immunity Blood Test which will test for all 3, at a cost of £230 saving £68, and requiring just the one sample.
There is no need to fast before this blood test.
